Director of Development

POSITION OVERVIEW

Triality, Inc., a program in the Kansas City Metropolitan area that serves children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is currently seeking a Director of Development to plan, develop and implement fund development initiatives including; fund raising, marketing and public relations activities. 

The Director of Development will:

• Place primary focus on developing individual giving program, establishing and maintaining community relationships, and public awareness activities. 
• Be responsible for internal and external communications including; annual report, newsletters, news releases, and Triality web-site.  
• Be responsible for developing and monitoring department and grant budgets.   

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor’s Degree.   CFRE is preferred. 
• Must have a broad based knowledge of the not-for-profit business environment, grant writing, funding concepts, donor relations and cultivation strategies. 
• Knowledge of marketing, public relations and budgeting concepts is required. 
• Three or more years of fund development, marketing/public relations experience and special events planning is required. 
• Management and/or supervisory experience is preferred.
