Amy Rome, CFRE, Founder & Principal
Amy has been a consultant for 16 years and has more than 28 years of experience in planning, development and fundraising.  She has also managed public and private nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. Amy has provided counsel and assistance to help a wide variety of institutions achieve their goals. Her clients have included arts, education, health, and human service organizations in the St. Louis area, as well as in other communities throughout the country.

Prior to her consulting work, Amy was President of the St. Louis Metropolitan Association for Philanthropy (now the Gateway Center for Giving), a membership organization of philanthropic corporations and foundations that provides educational programming and information on community needs. She also held several positions with the United Way of Greater St. Louis.

Amy teaches at Washington University”s George Warren Brown School of Social Work, which presented her with its Distinguished Alumni Award in 2007. This award is given to an alumna who has demonstrated the highest levels of professional achievement and leadership and who serves as a model for all students and alumni of the University.   Amy is on the Advisory Committee of the Nonprofit Management and Leadership Program at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She also serves as the current board president of Beyond Housing.

Amy holds a masters degree in Social Work Policy and Planning from Washington University and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).

Alice Squires, Client Services Manager
Alice has over 30 years of experience in operations management and administration. Prior to joining The Rome Group, Alice worked for Hartford Financial Services Group in St. Louis and in Hartford, Connecticut. Her career with The Hartford included development of new business systems, focusing primarily on the creation and implementation of workflow procedures and policies. Alice also held several management positions within the Claims Department.

Alice was an active volunteer and served on the Board of Directors of COCSI (Claim Organization Community Service Initiative), which supported an inner city school in Hartford through mentoring programs for children. She was also involved with the Christmas in April program in Hartford and was a volunteer with Wildlife Rescue in Ballwin, MO.  Alice currently volunteers with Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
